Weather Reports for Riverina Growers
The Wine Grapes Marketing Board has weather station bases across the region in grower vineyards. The network of stations is a partnership with the NSWDPI and the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI). There are now 10 weather stations live in the Riverina area (7 are owned by the Board). These weather stations are located near vineyards enabling more accurate information for regional weather records, while their location being outside the vineyard row makes it possible to have uninterrupted data 12 months of the year.
The information must only be used as a guide for any management decisions for on farm activities. Please consult with wineries and the spray diary to ensure Agrochemical restrictions are not breached before deciding to apply chemical controls in vineyards. Growers can also for their further information visit http://www.cropwatchonline.com to see weather and disease reports compiled for the Riverland and Sunraysia production districts.
